There are several web 2.0 tools that are useful in our classrooms today. I have researched quite a few and came across BusyLissy, which gained my interest. BusyLissy is a project management tool that allows small businesses, student groups, sports clubs, ect. to collaborate with each other on projects and build that project online. BusyLissy is also great for organizing files and creating task managers. It allows users to become more organized and kept up-to-date all though the Internet. The use of papers are slowly being eliminated by the constant use of web tools such as BusyLissy.

Setting up an agenda allows everyone to know what is going on and what to expect. We all know the failures of emails and lost papers. Sometimes, it is almost impossible to conduct a meeting at everyone’s convenience. This tool keeps clients, students, employees and athletes aware of the days ahead without a phone call, email, or fax. Just simply log on.

As you build your project, you can leave messages for your other team members, which will create a tread for the entire group to view. Keep it all in one simple place.

Set task for certain group members as the project is being build. And you can keep track of the completed/uncompleted assignments.

Tired of sending attachments with emails to large to open, or it slows your computer’s speed by trying to upload it. BusyLissy organizes your files for you in one place.

This tool can be helpful in a classroom setting. Group work must be encouraged throughout a child’s adolescent. And dealing with generation “m” (media) we as teachers must find better ways to incorporate group work in a more productive manner and have students be interested in doing so. BusyLissy is a great tool to start. Students can use their mobile devices to gain access and complete assignments.
